Make sure you know what your children are reading!  Here we have The Daring Book for Girls and  The Dangerous Book for Boys Finally posting this a week and a half after the fact: It was another beautiful sunny day here in Hannover yesterday.  Watch out!  Those are days of unseen adventure! We decided to stay home from church.  Henry was coughing and sneezing still and, well, frankly it is hard to be consistent these days.  So we had a nice morning at home--enjoying our togetherness, our last day together before routine resumes (see, I have still skipped the sight seeing!)  We had pancakes, and then we read a Bible story and acted it out together.  The kids were coloring pictures and I was reading.  But it was too nice to stay inside, so we went for a brisk and cold walk together.  I was so happy to be walking and having energy!  It felt good to get fresh air. October 29, 2010 After writing this, I noticed that an orange glow was coming through the westward windows. It being 9 AM I was confused. Then I looked out and saw this beautiful tree. The sun merely coasts across the southern edge of the sky these days--always low sun. Shadows are so different way up here. . . This is the beginning of phase three of our adjustment. Phase 1 was our month in Celle. Phase 2 was our three weeks in our new house before my parents arrived for a visit. Phase 3 is the time that began after my mom left this morning. Our house now has pictures hung, coat racks up, curtains in three r ooms . . . I just returned from taking Henry to kindergarten. My mom left for Houston early this morning, taking a taxi to the airport at 5:15, then John left to go by train to Dusseldorf at 5:40.
